Menang Consulting Services was established in 2010 – the founder Naomi Smith has family connections with many Noongar groups throughout the South West regions of Western Australia and is a direct descendant of the Menang people of Albany and surrounding regions.

 

Naomi is the Principal Consultant of Menang Consultancy Services and has a long work history in both government and private industry. She has strong work ethics and a good track record for completing projects on time and within budget in a professional and productive manner. She excelled academically at a tertiary level and is highly qualified in the following areas:

  • Degree of Graduate Business Qualifications
  • Degree of Master of Arts in Indigenous Research and Development
  • Degree of Bachelor of Applied Science in Indigenous Community Health.

Naomi has worked for the Department of Health, Department for Child Protection, and Department of Indigenous Affairs where she managed complicated projects and developed government guidelines and policies. She also worked in non-government agencies and the mining industry and assisted in the recruitment of Aboriginal people.

 

Naomi is well-equipped to work with Aboriginal people, government, non-government agencies, and the mining industry and will endeavor to meet the expectations of community and professional partners while adhering to the aims and values of Menang Consulting Services.
